Tazo the Sea Otter is enjoying his new home at the New York Aquarium! If you remember, Tazo was found orphaned and rehabilitated at the Alaska SeaLife Center. He was moved to the New York Aquarium in August and seems to be settling in.
From the New York Aquarium:Just like a puppy, Tazo the sea otter loves to chew! His keepers make sure he has plenty to keep him busy, including plastic chew toys and pool toys, plus ice cubes and fishsicles—a favorite snack for this Alaska native.
The sea otter population isn't saved yet. With the recent deaths due to white sharks and the increasing pollution in our ocean we need to do more to save the cutest keystone species in the world! Be sure to visit your local participating zoo or aquarium this week to celebrate Sea Otter Awareness Week and learn what you can do to help.
If this video doesn't melt your heart, you might want to check yourself for a pulse. This video comes courtesy of the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Did you enter their Otter U Sweepstakes yet?
Aside from the lottery, I've never wanted to win something more than the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Otter U Sweepstakes! Thanks to Sally for letting me know about this!
Here are the prizes you could win:

Here's another video of the behind the scenes tour at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California. I took this tour too and it's worth the money to actually feed the otters in person!
Ever since I was 12, I've wanted to visit the UK and seeing all of these adorable otter births make me want to start saving for a vacation there. These cute otters are at Longleat which seems like an amazing place.

About This Site
I've always thought that otters were the cutest animal on the earth so I thought I'd dedicate a whole web site to them. This site is also to bring awareness of sea otters being on the endangered species list. If you have any otter pictures or video to submit, read the FAQ.
